So I jumped the gun too soon and had to wait for some techies to do whatever it is they had to do. Whatever that was appears to have been done and so my first actual blog post now makes me sound like a right diva.
I ran a website for some years, also called The Crazy Chris Website, though the company that hosted the site seems to have been run into the ground, so crazychris.150m.com is no more. As most if not all that was on there was mostly obsolete, not to mention on a garish yellow background, so this is a clean slate. At some point over the Christmas break I will go through my personal archives and select the least worst of what was once online. As for which Christmas break - this one or next, or the one after - I couldn't possibly say.
These days most of my writing output is in the form of theatre reviews so that will be, I suspect, the main focus, though I am conscious that blogging is also a means of expressing an opinion on virtually anything. For that reason I have chosen not to set up a 'theatre blog' - I think there are plenty of those around already.
But yes, this is the first time I've done an actual blog: the previous website was a blog in all but name, as it wasn't really set up properly and I used good old Microsoft Expression Web, and before that Microsoft FrontPage. This Weebly thing, though apparently basic, is a relatively big step up for yours truly. My reviews are for online publication but for the most part the set-up is quite traditional: I submit copy to an editor who may or may not revise or alter content prior to posting. Let's see how this goes.
London lad, loving life and all that it has to offer.
